So I wanted to share my inspiration for the Captain America mural i just did. I’ve always enjoyed the HVW8 artist since i’ve heard of them back in 2008. I always admired the color schemes they used. So I tried to use it in my mural. Also, its always a challenge to paint for a movie when all you have to go off of is some google searches and the trailer. I found out that the movie was based in the years of WWII. My first thought was to go towards the whole propaganda posters, but after some digging I found the Signal Corps poster originally painted by Jes Wilhelm Schlaikjer.
